Last Week in Budapest Before Backpacking

The last week that Eline and I were in Budapest most everyone else had already left. We actually had time to be tourists in Budapest, so we went to parliament and walked around some areas we had never walked around before.

My last time on campus.

This is just a bridge close to the parliment building. There is just a little pond, I think it is some sort of monument.
Me in front of parliament before our tour.

This is the inside of the big dome in the parliament building.

This is where the members of parliament meet.

This is one of the main staircases of parliament.
Me and St Stephan's crown.

We went to the Margit Szegit (island) pool one day, it was huge. I think there were at least 5 pools.
At Margit Szegit Bridge there is one of the best views of Budapest.

One of the last nights we went to a club near our house and watched the Netherlands vs Russia football game on the roof. It was the first Netherlands football game that Eline watched so of course they lost. Then we went to the museum in the royal palace. It was museum night in Budapest and if you bought a ticket you could go to any museum in Budapest most of the night. We got there an hour before it ended so we snuck into the courtyard overlooking the Danube and saw this really cool Hungarian band play music that was somewhat like salsa with a little folk, really fun to dance to.

These are just two photos of the palace lite up.

This is just some art inside the museum, we were sneaking around everywhere trying to avoid the ladies who were checking the tickets.

I had never been in this part of the museum, you can walk up to the top of the green dome. It was really beautiful to look over Budapest at night.

This is what the courtyard looked like when we left, the lady who took care of the building put out all these nice plants.
This is my favorite view in Budapest. I would see it going over the Elizabeth Bridge everyday when I went back and forth from school.
