My Return to Prague!

The weekend after Jackie left I went on a school trip to Prague. It was really fun because I got to meet a lot of new people, mostly Hungarians, from different schools and of course I love the Czech Republic.

We left on the bus at 10:30 pm and arrived in Karlovy Vary at 8:00 am. I slept almost the entire time.
Our first stop after breakfast was the Becherovka factory!! Basically it was just a tour of the factory, but at the end we got to sample 3 different liquors that becherovka made. One was the traditional one that we had last time we came to the Czech Republic. One was really strong and yucky, and one was really sweet and tasted like honey.

Me sampling the becherovka.

We walked around Karlovy Vary the rest of the afternoon.

The next day we went sightseeing. Here is me standing in front of the Charles Bridge.

Eline and I at the castle looking over Prague.

Everybody at the castle in front of the famous statue of St. George killing the dragon.

Me and Eline at the castle.

After we went to the Charles Bridge and the Castle, we saw the library in Strahov.

Then we went across the street to the restaurant that sold the really good beer the monks make.

Me, Ryan, and Peter (our Hungarian mentor) having the monk's beer. Look at my mini mug!

Me in front of the Charle's Bridge and castle that night.

The next day we went to a castle outside of Prague where King Charles lived.

Megha, Eline, and I at the foot of the castle. As usual the castle was on a hill so we had to climb all the way to the top.

Everyone that night at the old town square having some hot wine at the Easter festival.

We drove back to Budapest the next day, and stopped in Kutna Hora on the way. We went to a little Easter festival (it was Easter Monday) and saw the bone church. Apparently when the plague hit this town so many people died that there was no more room to bury them. It was a little weird to see human bones decorating a church.
